ACE Cookbook

solo project

I volunteered to do this pro bono project while dreaming about how much I loved Jamaica when I was there ages ago…

It began as a quick fundraising cookbook - you know, like the spiral-bound ones you get at a high school basketball game to benefit the athletic program.

That little project blossomed into a 97 page hardcover book! Created as a tribute to their native Jamaican chef, all the proceeds of the cookbook sales went to benefit the charity and the tireless work they do to improve the lives of the residents of St. Mary Parish, Jamaica. With an adorable boutique hotel tucked into the northern coast of the island, they provide a base for those that travel there to spend time working with the charity building homes, gardening, educating, and supporting small business ventures of those in need. The best part of this project? Having it sell out twice and getting the chance to visit Jamaica to meet these lovely people myself!
